This is our directory of suppliers and buyers of food and drink produced or processed locally through independent local business. It is collated by Good Food East Sussex, and aims to support businesses across Sussex to connect and contract with each other. Buy locally
Big Barn is a national database of locally produced food and drink.
You can find a directory of Sussex farm shops through Restaurants Brighton.
The Sussex Peasant is a mobile vendor of local produce. You can see where they sell when on their website, and you can also see their list of local suppliers.
Brighton and Hove Food Partnership hosts a directory of local veg boxes schemes, groceries, bakeries, farmers markets and delivery services, many of which operate across East Sussex.
Green Transition Crowborough also hosts a list of local producers.
For businesses, Open Food Network is an open source e-commerce network for fairer food systems, connecting local suppliers and buyers.
The East Sussex Social Value Marketplace is another online marketplace aimed at connecting across private, public and social sectors for better social value.
Get support locally
East Sussex 1Space is East Sussex County Council’s online directory. It brings together groups and organisations that offer care, support and wellbeing services to people in East Sussex. You can find their list of food banks, community food hubs and soup kitchens across the county here.
You can contact your local food partnership to access support locally.
Eastbourne Food Partnership has an online guide to community food support across Eastbourne. Hastings and Rother Food Network post most of what they have on offer on their Facebook page.
